L2TP was developed to carry Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) traffic
over non-point-to-point networks. PPP is the most commonly used
protocol to provide remote access over dial-up lines. L2TP provides
virtual remote access by tunneling PPP frames to a remote host.
The Interpeak Embedded L2TP client is easy to use and to provides
a flexible API which can be used to implement a variety of L2TP
configurations. The client is designed for embedded systems and
is under complete control of the user application.
The Embedded L2TP client contains a ready-to-run example of an
L2TP Access Concentrator (LAC), providing compulsory tunneling.
It also contains a command-line interface which enables a user to
control and monitor its operation.
